| Osprey v22
Tools: All modeling and texturing and animation was done in Luxology’s Modo 401 (sp2). Textures were built in Adobe Photo shop as well as Adobe Illustrator CS4.
Information:
We were invited to participate in a visualization as a Modeler. I was tasked with building an a very detailed model of an Osprey.
We have recently started testing Luxology’s Modo as it has matured and is proving to be a very substantial 3D tool. As a result we are using Modo more and more these days. I received Blueprints and located some reference materials and set about modeling UV mapping and texturing this aircraft. Modo proved to be a great choice for doing Sub Divisional Modeling on this rather complex and challenging shape of this unique aircraft. Animation was going to be done in LW so I did the rigging in LW and turned it over to the Animators. However, since we are starting to push modo a bit I finished my version up in Modo and started rigging and setting up for animation in Modo. Animations are coming soon and will be available in our animation section.
